Lyn Taylor’s Adventure Testimonials
Lyn is a great leader and often has links to local communities which bring another dimension to the travel experiences she so professionally provides.
Lyn was fantastic! While she doesn’t take the Royal Rajasthan tour herself, she provided terrific advice on that and other similar tours, provided comprehensive assistance as the liaison with the tour operator, put together my flight itinerary, sourced answers to all my questions, made contact during the tour to make sure all going well and followed up for feedback afterwards. And her tour recommendation was spot on it was excellent! I’d definitely go with Lyn again, would be great to go on one of her own tours!

The Grampian’s 6-day peak walks surpassed any ideas I had pre-hike. I went solo and met up with 5 lovely women from different places. Our guides Simon and Geof worked really hard to give us the best experience possible knowing that we might not come back again, they were very informative but funny too and made all the difference to my holiday. The lookouts from each peak were well worth the climb. I loved the flowers and different terrains each day.
We had restaurant food and the most comfortable huge beds for much-needed sleep. Thanks, Lyn for suggesting the Grampians, it was wonderful.

Just completed a 5-day Larapinta trek organised via Lyn at Lyn Taylor’s Adventure Travel. The trip was well-paced. Great guides. Too many delicious food choices for all diets. A mix of comfortable camping and motel-style accommodations. To finish a 20-minute helicopter ride over Alice Springs.. A group of 9 was a perfect number and all inspiring women! Thank you Lyn I can’t wait to embark on another trek

Well, I have just finished yet another wonderful trip walking the Larapinta Trail with lyn Taylor’s Adventure Travel and once again it didn’t disappoint me in any way. Each day presented new experiences, met new friends and experienced places that without Lyn’s thorough research beforehand would not have been possible for me. The guides were a wealth of knowledge regards the outback of Australia and not to talk about the wonderful food that was prepared by them also. So till my next trip with Lyn ……. I couldn’t recommend her trips more highly.

Christine and I had a great experience trekking in Nepal in April this year. We benefited from a very detailed and accurate itinerary which was provided to us before the trip and Lyn was very helpful in providing important information prior to our departure. Perhaps the greatest benefit to us was in being linked with an exceptional guide “TB” who possessed an incredible knowledge of local flora and fauna coupled with a great sense of humour. The actual trek was planned to suit our level of physical fitness while providing us with challenges on each of the days of the trek. Everything went to plan and we would highly recommend Lyn’s company for people who are not familiar with hiking in Nepal and who seek a sense of adventure in discovering some of this magical country.
Just wanted to post a message for anyone thinking of using Lyn Taylor’s travel. Go ahead . My 2 friends and I wanted to try the Camino pilgrimage walk and Lyn helped us every step of planning. Our actual holiday ran extremely smoothly. Thank you

Travel to Southern India and north to Rajasthan with Lyn Taylor Adventures proved to be everything I was looking for – exciting, interesting, colourful, cultural, noisy, friendly. The sightseeing was fabulous with local guides who were knowledgeable and caring.
Highlights included 2 nights on a houseboat through the waterways in Kerala with our own chef on board! In Thekkady Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary we quietly watched 3 elephants swimming across Lake Periyar – a wonderful sight. Then north to Agra to see the Taj Mahal which looked ethereal in the morning mist, a breathtaking sight. Exploring New and Old Delhi is a must.
All in all a fabulous and fascinating trip.
Thank you Lyn.

The Camino Portuguese Way with Lyn was my first organised walk and it was great. I’m so happy I did it, as I have a hip replacement and wasn’t sure how I’d go – now I know I can do it again. The pleasant walking companions and camaraderie made those end of day kilometres not so difficult, and it felt so good to finish each day with very comfortable accommodation and the evening meal of local cuisine and wines already organised for us All so easy, a great holiday! Thank you Lyn.

I completed another amazing tour with Lyn. This time the Portuguese Way. It was well organised, everything ran like clockwork.
We had a great guide, wonderful accommodation and extremely good meals at the beginning and end of each day. I thoroughly recommend the Camino to anyone who likes a challenge and walking.

I joined a group of 12 ladies to walk to Portuguese Way to Santiago de Compostela. The trip was really well organised, our local guide amazing, the accommodation and food excellent.
The walk was so interesting and the weather so kind to us too! This is the ‘supported’ way to go, just enjoying yourself to worry about, everything else was taken care of.

We started this trip with two nights in Lisbon and then a train trip to Porto. In both cities we had very informative guided tours. Through the whole trip, the hotels and meals were excellent. Our guide, Anton, was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. The towns we stayed in were varied but always interesting and scenic.. One thing that may have made the trip more enjoyable for me would have been a rest day, possibly in Pontevedra, where we enjoyed a walking tour with Anton, but there seemed a lot more to see. This was quite a fast paced walk so I’d suggest that reasonable fitness is important.

The variety of activities and places we saw was first class. I am now totally in love with Bali and its people. I must say I have never experienced being treated to well in all my life. You are held in very high esteem in these places and we were treated like superstars as we were your guests. The children’s dancing and music in Sideman will forever stay in my heart

I enjoyed travelling solo . It meant I could stay for longer periods in the Dzongs or have a picnic by the river in Bumthang for most of the day. I left a piece of my heart in Bhutan , it was such an eye bath for my soul. I loved it !

I loved my holiday and it was just perfect for me that both Nepal and Bhutan was solo. My guide, Dil in Nepal and Tandine and driver, Sonam ,in Bhutan were so supportive. They were very patient with my slow walk. They were also very professional and made me feel safe and very welcome in their respective countries.

An amazing trip! Better than I could have ever expected! Nepal is Lyn’s second home and it was a pleasure to experience it with her. From the welcoming stay in the village, to the best trekking tracks, a quick trip to Annapurna Base Camp, and wonderful company throughout from Lyn and her guide Dil. I can’t thank you enough, Lyn!

What I loved about Sri Lanka was the lush countryside; the pretty houses and well cared for gardens with their clay pots of colourful bougainvillea;

We have just come to the end of a wonderful adventure in Sri Lanka – the 5th trip for Jo and the 2nd for Sue. Nothing is too much trouble for Lyn and our holiday has gone without a hitch. We have visited tea plantations in the highlands, had our feet tickled in a mangrove river and saw a leopard in a national park and loved spending the night in an Eco camp – everything was great and so thank you very much Lyn.

Firstly, we really enjoyed our time in both countries. In Kathmandu, the Yak and Yeti was a very good place for us – quiet and comfortable with easy access to lots of interesting areas.Similarly, the hotel in Lhasa was a great choice. The garden was a peaceful retreat with good food. The views of Everest were sensational – we were very very lucky.

I greatly enjoyed the Camino walk. It was probably more challenging, walk-wise, than I’d expected especially our first day’s walk. Attending the botufumeiro was truly awesome & later hearing the men’s group sing in the cloisters was sensational. Santiago de Compostela is such a beautiful city and our guides (Banca in Leon & Emma in Santiago) were fantastic. I wish I could remember all they told us about the two cities & their history! David was a very friendly & knowledgeable guide All in all it was a hugely memorable experience which I shall enjoy remembering in the future.

Thank you for providing us girls with the most wonderful experience in Bali – definitely more adventure than indulgence. We saw the side of Bali that most tourists miss, the real culture, religion and lifestyle, as well as the vibrant, colourful villages and homes of the beautiful Balinese people. The trip was made especially successful because of Lyn’s cool, unflustered ability to just get on with things, with the local driver’s humour and knowledge, but most importantly, the company of a diverse, fun loving and companionable group of fabulous women.

We had the most awesome holiday and everything went so smoothly. The organization and professionalism of everyone involved was really second to none. All the accommodation was well thought out and of a good standard. The holiday has done me the world of good and I feel like a new person, after losing my husband so very suddenly and unexpectedly last year I was in a haze and with this holiday, it has made me come alive again, so a big Thank you. I am interested now in doing another trip maybe to Peru this time with my sister. Looking forward to hearing from you about this.
