Our first day in Ubud was full of activities, first we began with a yoga class, followed by a visit to the local market to buy produce for our cooking class which will take place back at our resort. Yesterday at 9am we arrived into Buenos Aires and, this is my 5th time to this wonderful city. I do not think that I have visited a city more beautiful. Today we sadly departed Cuzco on another adventure to Puerto Maldanado and the Amazon Jungle. This is my forth visit to the Inti Rami Festival and it never ceases to amaze me. Yesterday we arrived to Cuzco from Aguas Calientes. We caught the Peru Rail from Aguas Calientes which is a small vibrant town situated at the base of Machu Picchu. The trip to Ollyantambo takes approximately 1-1/2 hours on board we were given a typical Peruvian lunch and entertained by the staff of Peru Rail who performed a fashion parade of [….]

Today we departed our hotel at 530am to enjoy one of the most incredible sights on earth, the sanctuary of Machu Picchu. We hiked the steep stone-paved trail to the Sun Gate to meet our other companions who hiked the Inca Trail.It was such an emotional and excitting moment. We departed our hotel at 830 am by vehicle to our starting point of our trek. On arrival we were presented with a small calico bag which contained out morning tea. The trek took us through farms of maize, wheat, potatoes and barley our guide Elias explained to us the daily life of these people. Our hike took us around [….]

This morning we said goodbye to some of our group who are off to tackle the Inca Trail . We wish them luck on their 3 day hike to Machhu Picchu, where we will meet them at the Sun Gate.
