Relaxation spiced with adventure!

We have only been on our Lyn Taylor Adventure All Women’s Bali Indulgence Tour for 3 days and already we feel as though we have been here a full week we are so relaxed! Our days in Sanur have revolved around bike rides, early morning yoga classes, long walks along the beach, and spa treatments.

When you arrive on the shores of Bali you are overwhelmed by her breathtaking beauty and her magical people. Bali and its varied landscapes is a must see destination. This tour has been designed especially for women wanting a relaxing holiday spiced with adventure. Bali is constantly changing. It’s dynamic. It’s organic. There is rapid development of Bali’s economy, local and international tourism, the influx of people from other Indonesian islands. However, Bali has managed to maintain its uniqueness and magic over the decades and keeps enchanting visitors from all over the world.

On our first morning in Sanur, Bali, we were excited to test our biking skills, so the ladies and I set off on a leisurely 10km ride. The cycle path hugged the shores of Sanur Beach, passing by numerous resorts. Dodging tourists who were walking in the opposite direction while texting made riding challenging, to say the least. Our efforts were richly rewarded when we stumbled upon a joyous celebration of life. A group of beautifully dressed Balinese women and men were gathered. We were immersed in traditional music and surrounded by offerings of delicious food. It was a truly magical moment, experiencing firsthand the cultural richness of Bali. We felt incredibly fortunate to witness and briefly partake in such an authentic and heartfelt celebration.

Today we said farewell the beach to explore Bali further. Our first stop was to enjoy breakfast at the Bali Zoo accompanied by the orangutans, and elephants. On the way to Ubud we stopped at a coffee plantation, silver outlet and batik outlet to do some retail therapy. We are now Ubud for three days, and today’s downhill cycle tour from the town of Kintamani, situated high above Lake Batur, to Ubud was fantastic. Stopping at several temples and family compounds, and rode through lush rice fields, finishing with a delicious Balinese lunch. The afternoon was spent lazing around our resort pool which is situated in a quiet area surrounded by beautiful lush vegetation. There was even plenty of time to fit in a massage before lights out. Just divine!

The fabulous group of women travelling together in Bali with me have been truly amazing. Always lifting each other up and doing all they can to enhance one another’s experiences. Choosing to join a solo female travel group in Australia is something that can reinvigorate your spirit and potentially change your life. My philosophy is centred around bringing people together to do the things that we love. My exclusive adventures offer every destination, from European tours to Asian adventures to off-the-beaten-path destinations such as Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka.

Stay tuned for more of my Bali adventures in the coming days.
