The past 2 days we have been camping and hiking in the incredible natural beauty of the Purnululu National Park, or more commonly known as the Bungle Bungle ranges. This World Heritage site has 2 main features, the amazing natural beauty and outstanding geological value. Local Aboriginal people maintain a strong connection to this ancient landscape through story, art and song. We have been totally overwhelmed by the spiritual magic and enormity of the Purnululu, the colours of sandstone in the beehive domes and gorges is outstanding both form the ground and air. . On our Kimberley outback trip we have been accompanied by a wonderful group, enjoying lots of laughs, bonding together over a drink, preparing a meal, washing up at the camp ground sink, or travelling on our comfortable overland truck. On all of our travels we have never come across such an experienced, knowledgable guide, Nathan is a walking and talking encyclopaedia, we have leant so much about our own county.
