It’s day 10 and we have just finished our first day of the Annapurna trek.  Our adventure started when we arrived at Budditum village, day 3. We were able to spend lots of time with the children who lived there and join in with their everyday life, even though we had a language barrier we still had such a blast. [….]

We departed Kathmandu by land cruiser to the start of our trek at Gatland. It was an incredible drive over rough terrain and on one of the most dangerous roads not only in Nepal but in the world. Our driver was very experienced and cautious making sure that on every bend he blew his horn to any on coming traffic. [….]

The gorillas and Rwanda were a real highlight for us. Being so close to the gorillas was a special experience. Then visiting the local village was memorable to. All the children followed us and sang us songs. It was wonderful to see the country so happy after all their hardship. The safari was also a very memorable experience, the accommodation [….]

Thanks for everything  – it all  went smoothly.  I had a great experience walking the Camino with the all the other  ladies in the group.  They were all such nice people. We had a lovely last day together with David taking us to many beautiful spots, as well as a great lunch place.  It was great to be together again, as Wednesday, we went our own ways after the morning tour. Hi Lyn. Thank you for your message of encouragement to all of us, which we received via Sherrie yesterday, when ‘celebrating’ our long day. Personally, The Camino has & is a wonderful experience.
