Puri Sunia in Ubud is the home of wellness and positive energy, a home to explore Ubud and its rich cultural heritage. On  tour we have visited traditional villages and experienced Balinese life on a 3 hour cycle from Lake Batur to our guides home in Ubud. What an incredible day, first we were picked up from our hotel and escorted in 4 convertable VW’s. Our first destination was a visit to a coffee plantation, where we were explained on the process of coffee making and

treated to several different variety’s of coffee. Next stop was morning tea at a fabulous viewpoint taking in Lake Batur and Mt Agung. We were all given instructions by our very experienced guide on which gears to use, whether to use front or back brakes. during our 3 hour downhill bike ride. We set off along a busy road before taking the back roads through villages and terraced rice fields. Children were jumping out in front of us to touch our hands. We saw 2 pigs being slaughtered for the full moon ceremony,  and were fortunate to also witness a procession of children and adults in traditional dress. Our day ended at our guides home for a magnificent Indonesian meal and instruction on playing the gamalon  Bali’s oldest traditional musical instrument..
