All I can say about Machu Picchu is that it is absolutely amazing – words and pictures will not do it justice – even the road up is unbelievable!! Two days ago I arrived on the shores of Bali, it is always a hassle free arrival especially if you fly with Garuda, visas can be obtained at Sydney airport and on board the flight Garuda have Customs officials to stamp your visa. Great days in Arequipo finishing with dinner on balcony looking over square sipping pisco sours listening to a live Peruvian band playing Simon and Garfunkel! Over the mountains at 4900 metres covered in snow to Chuvay where the first Stop was the volcanic natural hot springs after a buffet lunch of traditional food and live music playing guitar, panpipes, tamborm [….]

We are now on Day 6 of our Peru adventures and these mountains and villages and people are what it s all about . Forget the cities! So good to be here in the mountains, currently at 3800m but reached a height of. Just under 5000m yesterday. So far so good take a look.

Thanks for helping Barb to get here safely and surely.
