We departed early from our hotel to exlplore a nearly untouched part of Bali known as the island of the gods. We enjoyed breathtaking views and learnt about the sustainable development of rural, poor villages in northern Bali. A unique experience we will never forget. Water is the “blue gold of the future” and not without reason . Access to drinking water is the foundation of a healthy life.  High high in the mountains of mutigunung on the slopes of holy Gunung Agung volcano, we were touched by people that live a much less privileged life than most. We fell fortunate to have found a way to support poor local families generate income by taking this beautiful trek.
