Scenery and laughs abound.  Our guide Dendup is unbelievably patientwith a group of 40+ rowdy Australians.  The vibe is great andeveryone really enjoying themselves – even the little glitches likethe door handle falling off.  Bhutanese are great.

Four of us landed at Paro airport on Bhutan’s National airline Druk Air, our flight from Kathmandu was sensational perfect weather and spectacular view of Everest, Kanchenjunga it was a perfect day for flying between these two Himalayan countries.  We were  welcomed  by the smiling faces of Pema and his staff who presented us with beautiful white scarfs of greeting. Today we visited the village of Imlil situated at the foothills of the Atlas Mountains. we stopped at Tahanouet village to visit a Berber country market selling vegetables cereals, olive oil sellers, blacksmiths and medicine men gather under canvas and reed sheolters. Today we enjoyed a colourful days sightseeing of Fes the religious capital of Morocco our tour in the old Medina (market) we admired a collection of tradition art such as the sculptured  wood, wrought  iron, and plaster as well as the decorative materials that are works of art. Our first day in Morocco began in Casablanca and a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, we were fortunate it being Friday the day the  mosque is  open to the public before prayers begin  at midday.. To describe the mosque it was designed simply, but on a grand scale, the materials were predominately from Morocco and built by Moroccon  crasftsmen, [….]

Our group enjoyed their last 3 days in Spain in the  beautiful province of Galicia. We visited the most famous winery of white (blanco) wine in Spain. and La Toja island famous for its spa and cosmetic products, an excursion by boat on the Ria gave us a chance to taste some of the mussels farmed in this area.  We [….]

We have just enjoyed 2 fabulous days in Santiago De Compostela of course the 12pm mass  in the cathedral which was one of the highlights of this trip for most pilgrims who do the Frances way of St James.. Santiago is a vibrant city day and night with many restaurants to taste traditional  Galicia food. You can wander through the [….]
