Travelling further south we met our trekking pony’s who will carry out luggage on our trek to Tiger Leaping Gorge. After 2 hours of hiking we arrived at a Naxi Family Guesthouse for lunch. Then it was the most challenging part of the trek as the trail rises steeply with the 28 bends to the top of the mountian with views of the valley along the gorge with the gushing river deep below. The view of the gorge and the Jade Dragon Mountain is stupendous from here on. We arrived at the Old Tea Horse Guesthouse and our accommodation for the night. The following day we continued our trek along the gorge enjoyibg more beautiful views before arriving at a lovely cultivation area and villages where out trasnsport awaited us to take us to Lijiang airport to fly to Chendu for the night.
